As promised here is Jackson's winning entry in the year 1&2 short story competition! The judges comments were "I like the overall feel good factor of this story and some of the interesting words used like 'fire coloured UFO ship' - they create a picture in my head". Great job Jackson!!

We are very excited and proud of Jackson because he won the year 1 and year 2 short story competition at the school library this week! He won a fantastic dinosaur book and some special treats to eat. The stories are on display in the library for everyone to read and when we get a copy we will put it up here on the blog as well. Way to go Jackson!!
Today we saw eels in the library. The children from the Junior College showed us a video and read a story about why we need to look after eels. There were real eels in a tank and some were big and some were really tiny. A man called Paul was the fish man and he was the expert. He even had fish shoes!
