Congratulations to Melinda and Denzael - for coming 1st and 3rd in the Dr Seuss drawing competition - and to Frances for getting this weeks excellence award at school assembly! All three of you deserve a huge round of applause!

Dr Seuss and book week assembly!

Wow, what a busy book week we had! To finish it off - Friday was book character mufti day and we had a special assembly to celebrate all the winners of the book week competitions. Mrs Vohra even read us "Green eggs and ham". 2 LZ7 superstars were MCs for the assembly - well done to Risha and Jessica K! You both did a wonderful job!

Dr Seuss drawing competition!

As part of our book week at MHP we are entering a drawing competition to try and win a prize. We drew our favourite Dr Seuss character - first on our mini whiteboards and then on paper. We coloured them in and they will be judged by Mrs Jackways in the library. The winner will be announced at assembly on Friday! Fingers crossed it is one of LZ7's amazing artists!!

The ABC at MHP - why our school is cool!

We have entered a competition called 'School is cool' with our buddy class LZ9 and are hoping to win some ipads for school! We made a video of 'The ABC at MHP' - why our school is cool! It has 26 reasons why Mission Heights Primary is cool - one for each letter of the alphabet! It was lots of fun taking photos around school and recording all our voices! We are really proud of our work and our school!

Jolly jumping jellybeans!!

Lucky Nikita and Ricky were 2 of the winners of the "Guess the number of jellybeans" competition at last weeks disco. They each won all of these jellybeans!! They have been very kind and have donated the 2 big bags to the classroom jellybean jar and will take the small bags home to EAT!! Yum yum!
