Well done to Tanya for winning the Excellence Award for LZ7 at assembly this week!  Tanya earned her certificate for her wonderfully positive attitude towards learning and always working so hard in class.  Tanya, you are a great role model for others in LZ7 - keep up the awesome work!

Congratulations to AJ for winning this weeks LZ7 Excellence Award at our school assembly!  AJ has been putting in huge effort in his reading and writing this term and really deserves this award in recognition.  He also demonstrates one of our school values of Responsibility everyday in the classroom!  Well done AJ!!

Well done to Denzael and Meera!  Both were awarded certificates at assembly this week - Denzael won the class excellence award for his fantastic effort to work independently and Meera was awarded the school enviro trophy for her efforts at helping to keep the school clear of rubbish.  Both of you are doing a fantastic job - keep it up!!

Well done to Kevin and Kereama!

Congratulations to Kevin and Kereama for both receiving certificates at assembly on Friday! Kevin won the junior division of the gaming competition last week in the library with the most points on bad ice cream, and Kereama won the LZ7 excellence award for his fantastic written language! Well done you two - keep up the amazing effort!

Look what I received at JLC assembly last week! LZ14 were hosting the assembly and instead of giving out certificates for students, decided that the teachers deserved some instead! Thanks LZ14, it was pretty cool to go up on stage to get this!

Dr Seuss and book week assembly!

Wow, what a busy book week we had! To finish it off - Friday was book character mufti day and we had a special assembly to celebrate all the winners of the book week competitions. Mrs Vohra even read us "Green eggs and ham". 2 LZ7 superstars were MCs for the assembly - well done to Risha and Jessica K! You both did a wonderful job!

A round of applause to Gabriel for receiving LZ7's very first excellence award at our school assembly today! Gabriel earning his certificate for his great independent work habits and his great attitude towards always helping others! Keep it up Gabriel!

Look at our Greedy Cat artwork!

At last weeks Junior assembly LZ7 shared some artwork. We had painted pictures of Greedy Cat after reading some of his stories. We loved mixing the paint to make different colours and make it look like fur! Meera and Frances were fantastic presenters and explained the process of our pictures to the audience. We think our art looks wonderful!

E Rere Taku Poi

At the JLC assembly on Friday LZ6 performed 'E Rere Taku Poi' under the wonderful guidance of Mrs Browne. Wow, you were all fantastic! Sorry the music is not very loud for the first half.

Wacky hair day!

What a wonderful and wacky day we had at school today! It was wacky/wild hair/hat day and this morning was the JLC assembly. To top it off we had a sausage sizzle, samosas and popsicles on sale and in the afternoon it was the final of MHP's got talent!! Whew, no wonder we are all tired!

Congratulations to Kashvi for being awarded our latest "Excellence Award" at assembly last week. She received it for her wonderful responsibility in the classroom and her excellent independent work habits! Keep it up Kashvi, you are a star!

E Papa rakau

As part of our celebration of Matariki we were learning a rakau (stick game) to the music E Papa and decided to show it at assembly. This video is us performing last Friday in front of the whole school!
